Pakistani actor Faisal Rehman has shared his views on the long-running rumours surrounding Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, saying he believes their reported romance was largely the result of media speculation.
Rehman discussed the subject during an appearance on Sukoon Digital’s podcast, where he was also asked about longstanding rumours of an affair between him and actress Babra Sharif. Responding to a question about his alleged relationship with Babra Sharif, Rehman denied that the two actors had been romantically involved. He said actors who work together are often linked romantically because audiences notice their chemistry on screen.
Rehman then cited Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha as another example, saying he believed the rumours about their relationship were untrue. According to Rehman, his view is based partly on the fact that both actors have denied the relationship in interviews. Rehman said his pairing with Babra Sharif worked particularly well on screen, which he believes contributed to speculation about their personal relationship.
He explained that strong chemistry between co-stars can lead audiences and the media to assume that an off-screen romance exists. Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha have been the subject of romance rumours for decades, particularly following their collaborations in films such as Both actors have publicly denied being in a romantic relationship, while speculation about them has continued over the years.
