جِدہ ایئرپورٹ پر پی آئی اے کی فلائٹ PK-860 جو 305 حج مسافروں کو لے کر کراچی جا رہی تھی، تکنیکی خرابی کے سبب شام کے قریب اڑان کے قابل نہ ہو سکی۔ مسافروں کو سات گھنٹے تک طیارے میں رہے کر مجبور کیا گیا اور ان میں سے کئی کو بدحالی کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔ ابھی تک اس خرابی کی نوعیت اور نئی روانگی کے وقت کا کوئی سرکاری بیان جاری نہیں ہوا۔
A Pakistan International Airlines flight carrying Hajj pilgrims was delayed at Jeddah Airport after reportedly developing a technical fault, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded on board for several hours.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, PIA Flight PK-860, scheduled to travel from Jeddah to Karachi, remained grounded from around 5pm, causing significant inconvenience to passengers returning from the annual pilgrimage. Passengers on board said the aircraft had developed a technical problem before departure. They claimed that despite the delay, travellers were not allowed to leave the aircraft while engineers assessed the situation. According to the passengers, the flight was carrying 305 Hajj pilgrims.
Several travellers complained that the prolonged wait inside the aircraft had caused discomfort, with some passengers reportedly feeling unwell during the delay. The stranded pilgrims said they had been informed that the aircraft was experiencing a technical fault.
However, they questioned why passengers were not allowed to disembark if the aircraft was not fit to depart. Some passengers reported being confined to the aircraft for nearly seven hours and called for immediate measures to ensure their comfort and safety while the issue was being resolved. No official statement regarding the nature of the reported technical fault or the expected departure time had been issued at the time of reporting.
