KARACHI: Police on Friday arrest 25 more illegal immigrants during a search operation from Sugarcane Market in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth area, Bol News reported.
Police said the search operation was being carried out against the illegal immigrants. SSP East Irfan Bahadur said operation against illegal immigrants was underway in Sohrab Goth and it would continue until all the illegal immigrants were sent back to their countries.
“I myself am supervising the operation. A heavy contingent of police is taking part in the operation including SP Sohrab Goth. A lady searcher is also present in the contingent who is collecting data of women,” he said. The SSP said the operation was not being carried out against a country, rather it was an indiscriminate action.
The crackdown has been launched after the deadline for illegal immigrants to leave the country expired on November 1.
