670,000 may be infected by COVID-19 in Lahore alone, summary warns Punajb CM Usman Buzdar.
LAHORE – Punjab’s Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Captain Muhammad Usman forwarded a summary to Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in which it has been feared that 670,000 persons in Lahore alone could be affected by COVID-19.
The summary contained smart sampling results and recommendations. The samples were collected from hotspots, residences and offices in Lahore. Sources revealed that symptoms were not found in these cases which are a result of infection and local transmission. According to the summary, coronavirus result of 6% samples was positive. Furthermore, 14.7% samples were tested positive in six towns of the provincial capital.Pakistan has entered its most tough phase of novel coronavirus as the federal government has estimated that cases across the country will exceed 1 lac by mid-June.
According to the estimation, the pandemic will kill 2,500 more persons by mid-June and the government has no option but to follow standard operating procedures at the moment.
