After Israel’s security cabinet, Netanyahu’s cabinet also approves ceasefire deal with Hamas
TEL AVIV Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet, after six hours of discussions, approved a ceasefire deal with Hamas on Saturday after over 460 days of conflict, which resulted in the deaths of over 46,788 Palestinians and 110,453 being injured.
The deal, set to take effect on Sunday , includes the release of 33 Israeli hostages in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, along with a phased Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza. The second and third phases will involve further hostage releases, a full Israeli troop withdrawal, and the reconstruction of Gaza.
