The actor explained that his costume included a special “electric jacket” rigged with wires connected to a switchboard. Due to the limited technology available at the time, the wiring was wrapped around his body, and when the power surged, he felt actual electric shocks. Ironically, these shocks prompted him to dance in a manner unplanned by the choreography.
Bachchan humorously described the primitive technology used to create the jacket, which was adorned with electric bulbs powered by wires fed into a switchboard through his feet.
