Kashmiris under the leadership of Sardar Ibrahim Khan started independence movement against India
ISLAMABAD / MAZAFFARABAD - The 77th founding day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is being celebrated today with great enthusiasm.
The day started with 21 gun salutes, flag hoisting, special ceremonies to pay tribute to martyrs and heroes and prayers in mosques across Pakistan. Slogan of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir Zindabad were also chanted in various events. Kashmiris under the leadership of Sardar Ibrahim Khan started an independence movement against the Indian occupation and established a separate identity and government for the region with accession to Pakistan.
