KARACHI: A 12-year-old body of woman has been found near the flat in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city while police has arrested a person in this connection.
Narrating the details, the SSP East said that the body is identified to be Zakia named woman who was a resident of the crescent apartment while after her death his daughter and son had frozen the body instead of burying. The SSP said that the woman daughter and son also died in the period while his brother Mahboob took possession of the body.The SSP Tanveer Alam informed that the arrested person is of age 70 and is the brother of the Zakia who in his statement said that the son and daughter of the Zakis had kept the body their side in the love of their mother.
The police said that the flat of Zakia remained empty for so long after death of their children adding that a post-mortem of the body has been conducted and Mahboob has been shifted to police station for further investigation.
