Judge Muhammad Bashir conducts hearing of appeal
ISLAMABAD - An accountability court in Islamabad on Thursday reserved its judgement on an appeal filed by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif seeking suspension of his arrest warrants in Toshakhana case.
Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir conducted hearing of the appeal filed by pml-n supremo Nawaz Sharif. Sharif’s lawyer Qazi Misbah and NAB prosecutor were present during the hearing. During the hearing, Sharif’s counsel Misbah appealed to the court to cancel the arrest warrant issued for his client.A day earlier, Sharif's lawyers had filed an appeal praying to the court to suspend PML-N Quaid's perpetual arrest warrants in Toshakhana case untill October 24.
The court adjourned the case till Thursday. The bench comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb took up Nawaz’s pleas which were filed earlier on Wednesday. The PML-N leader’s lawyer, Amjad Pervez, told the court that his client was seeking protective bail.
