The Supreme Court has suspended the Islamabad High Court orders dated 29th may and 25th June while issuing stay against the proceedings in the matter regarding audio leak of Bushra Bibi and Najmus Saqib, son of former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar. A two member bench comprising Justice Aminuddin and Justice Naem Akhter Afghan heard the matter.

Additional Attorney General Amir Rehman said whenever access is sought to the phones, a stay order prevents them. He said unauthorized tapping is already unlawful but Islamabad High Court's order are hampering even lawful counter terrorism measures.
