IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, along with additional IG Special Branch Zulfikar Hameed, Additional IG Counter-Terrorism Department Waseem Sial, and other Senior Officers, has arrived at the site of the Kachcha Machka incident.
According to the Punjab Police Spokesperson, IG Punjab will visit the scene of the incident and the police camps in Kachcha Machka. He will also meet with the injured police personnel currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
IG Punjab and other senior officers will attend the funeral prayers for the 12 martyrs of the Kachcha Machka incident. The attack resulted in the deaths of 12 police personnel and injuries to 8 others. IG Punjab stated that the robbers took advantage of the cover of darkness to carry out a cowardly attack. Emphasizing that the morale of the Punjab Police remains high and such actions will not diminish the force’s spirit or commitment.
