waves and also imposed Section 144.
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation wrote a letter to inform the commissioner that large and dangerous waves are forming near the beach in Karachi, which may endanger the lives of bathers in the sea. Earlier, Lahore High Court on Friday ordered the district government and the traffic police to take strict action against smoke-emitting vehicles and impound them for frequent violations to control smog in the provincial metropolis. Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court, while hearing the petitions filed for remedying smog, said that vehicles emitting smoke should not only be fined but should also be closed.
