PTI founder says the government is bent upon destroying the judiciary
RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder and former prime minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday the proposed establishment of constitutional court was meant for ending powers of the chief justice of Pakistan , Dunya News reported.
During an informal talk with media at the Adiala Jail, the PTI founder said the government was bent upon destroying the entire judiciary by establishing the constitutional court. He said the government needed judges of its own choice to cover up the election fraud. "The Supreme Court and democracy are being destroyed out of fear of the PTI," he said.
He further said the government was not allowing the PTI to hold any public meeting. He warned the government of protest in case the PTI was not allowed to hold a rally in Rawalpindi.
