In another move to contain the spread of coronavirus in the province, the Punjab government on Sunday made it mandatory for people travelling from one
For those travelling from Punjab to any other province in the country, it has been made mandatory to show their coronavirus negative test reports and also take a certificate from the authorities concerned before moving out of the province. The Punjab government has introduced Form A and B for this purpose. Those travelling between two districts within Punjab must show the authorities Form A and those travelling to any other province from Punjab must show Form B.
Keeping in view a steady increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the country since detection of the first case in Karachi on February 26 this year, most parts of Pakistan remain under a partial or complete lock down for the last three weeks or so. As of April 12, the total number of confirmed coronavirus patients in Pakistan stood at 5,234 with 1,058 recoveries and 91 deaths. In terms of numbers, Punjab is leading this grim race with 2,466 cases, Sindh is in the second place with 1,411 patients, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is third with 744 cases, Balochistan is fourth with 230 cases, Gilgit-Baltistan is fifth with 224 cases, Federal Capital Islamabad sixth with 119 cases and Azad Kashmir is number seven with 40 cases.
