It is requested to the court to declare the chief commissioner's appointment as illegal
LAHORE – Chief Commissioner of Pakistan Sikandar Sultan Raja’s appointment to the position has been challenged in the Lahore High Court .
The petition filed by an advocate, challenging the position was heard by LHC Chief Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan. It was argued in the petition that the appointment of the chief commissioner was done without the due advertisement of the post on the political grounds under one man’ agenda. It was said that appointment of a retired officer to the post was tantamount to abuse the constitutional post and at the cost of national interests.However, public prosecutor came up with the counter arguments, seeking dismissal of the application as not hearable, suggesting that such an application should be filed in the Islamabad high Court .
