The CJP said he had told the delegation that he had taken an oath for the independence of the judiciary under the constitution. The CJP said he had also briefed the visitors about judicial reforms and the National Judicial Policy. Responding to a question about Imran Khan’s letter, Justice Afridi said what the former prime minister wanted from the court concerned Clause III of Article 184. “I have forwarded the letter to the judges’ constitutional committee, which will decide its fate,” he said, adding, “At the end of the day, it is the constitutional bench which has to look into it.”
