Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has said that for peace and prosperity of the country, we have to coordinate our efforts. Addressing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Apex Committee meeting he said that we have to increase cooperation with each other for the development, stability and peace of our country. It will continue to play a role so that the speed of economic development can be increased. During the Apex Committee meeting, the Army Chief was briefed on the overall security situation including measures against smuggling, hoarding and drug smuggling. He reiterated that the state institutions are united to protect the life and property of the people. Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan also participated in the meeting. Earlier, while addressing women in a symposium, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir said that women have played a positive and important role in the development of the country. The women of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa showed determination and bravery despite all these challenges. On the arrival of the Army Chief In Peshawar, corps commander Peshawar welcomed him.

Christian Delegation Meets COAS Gen Asim Munir Calls For Promoting Inter-Faith HarmonyArmy Chief General Syed Asim Munir has stressed upon the need for promoting greater interfaith harmony in society in order to follow Quaid's true vision of a united and progressive Pakistan. The army chief was talking to president Bishops Dr. Azad Marshall along with 13 members delegation of Christian community who called on him at general headquarters in Rawalpindi. During the meeting general Syed Asim Munir expressed deep respect for Christian community. The Army Chief said Islam is a religion of peace and there is no space for intolerance and extremism in Islam and society. General Syed Asim Munir said no one can be allowed to take law in his own hands in a civilized society. Matters of mutual interest, religious and inter-faith harmony discussed in the meeting.
