India has exported its cruel caste system to the West
CALIFORNIA - California Governor Gavin Newsom vetoed a bill recently passed by the state legislature against the caste system in South Asia.The said bill was earlier passed at the first stage but California’s Governor Gavin Newsom had vetoed it.It merits mention here that .The caste system of India dates back thousands of years and allows many privileges to upper castes but represses the lower castes.
The Dalit community is on the lowest rung of the Hindu caste system as its members have been treated as "untouchables.
