Speaking to policemen at Police Lines in Islamabad where he went early in the morning to raise their morale ahead of the PTI’s protest on November 24, the minister, while praising them for their dedication and commitment, said that the Force was to act like a team for the purpose and make sure there was no untoward incident in the federal capital during the foreign dignitary’s visit to Pakistan.
“You have to arrest each and every person who will come to the city to create a law and order situation and do not let any troble-maker go back to his home,” Naqvi told the cops. He went on to say that the government cared for the lives of police personnel. “You will have to wear all safety gear such as helmets and jackets while performing your duties.”
“We are with you and will continue to stand by you,” the minister said, and vowed that this time the government would not allow anybody to take the law into his own hands.
