Pakistan has expressed its disappointment on the United Nations Security Council’s inability to reach a consensus on Palestine’s full membership of the United Nations, also regretting the US decision to veto the draft resolution.
In her weekly media briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Pakistan is deeply disappointed over not giving permanent membership of the General Assembly to Palestine in the United Nations meeting. Pakistan has expressed regret over the U.S. decision to veto the draft resolution.
Regarding the high level meeting with Saudi Arabia, she said that it was “very positive and constructive”. The Saudi Delegation discussed important issues in meetings with the prime minister, the president and the top leadership of Pakistan. Regarding the recent statement of the Indian Foreign Minister, the spokesperson said that the statement of the Indian Foreign Minister is unnecessary. Foreign Office spokesperson expressed dismay over the Indian authorities’ decision to prohibit the observance of religious events in illegally occupied Kashmir.
