To cancel a maid’s work permit, residents can visit the MOHRE website and submit a request through the available service channels. They need to select the reason for cancellation and pay the required fees. The application will undergo verification, and the employer will be notified of approval or rejection via text message and email.
The cancellation process takes up to one working day to complete. In Dubai, the total cost is Dh85.75, while in other emirates, the fee is Dh65. The process may differ for maids who have been outside the country for more than three months.
