Among those present at the meeting were Maulana Ghafoor Haideri, Kamran Murtaza, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarrar, Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan and Attorney General Mansoor Usman.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Fazl said the prime minister invited him to a meeting on the issue of the Madrassah Registration Bill and he reiterated his stance on the issue. He said he made it clear that the bill has become an act after approval from both houses of the parliament. He said that President’s constitutional objection has been addressed, but his second objection does not have any legal standing.
