ISLAMABAD - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif claimed that the government has the required numbers to pass the 26th constitutional amendment .The senior PML-N leader said that the ruling coalition was bringing the amendment only for the supremacy of the parliament.
“All the members of opposition are at their homes. A fake narrative is being made by a political party,” said Khawaja Asif.The veteran politician was of the view that the government would try to pass the amendment during today’s session.“A unanimous draft was prepared and we want maximum political parties to support it,” he said.
Earlier, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman would play his role in bringing consensus on constitutional amendment.
