LAHORE: Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has claimed that the government had proposed Imran Khan’s release for organizing sit-in at Sangjani.
Speaking to the media outside an Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore, Aleema Khan expressed her frustration over the prolonged delays in the trial of the Jinnah House case, revealing that she had attended hearings for three to four cases that day. She emphasized that the proceedings for the May 9 cases had yet to begin, despite the fact that the investigation officer had, for the first time, acknowledged that the accused had joined the investigation.
“We are not seeking bail; we want the trial to begin,” Aleema asserted, adding that the prosecution had failed to provide sufficient evidence. “They are ruining people’s lives. Even the police were unaware of our alleged involvement in the October 5 case,” she said. Regarding the protests on November 24, Aleema claimed that the government panicked when people started gathering. “They summoned Barrister Gohar and instructed him to stage a sit-in at Sangjani, promising they would release the PTI chairman,” she alleged.CM Punjab arrives in Beijing on eight day official visitEvery party mandate must be accepted including PTI: Faisal Vawda
