Says incumbent government with its allies attacking SC for personal interests
PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif asserted that higher judiciary was being paralysed under the pretext of constitutional amendment .
The PTI leader claimed that the constitution and law were being mocked and violated for personal interests. They were preparing to disrespect the sanctity of the Supreme Court. Barrister Saif insisted that incompetent government was attacking the Supreme Court and the PPP was supporting the government in this attack.
it is pertinent to note that the coalition government has summoned the National Assembly, Senate and federal cabinet on Monday to table and pass the constitutional amendment which they failed on Sunday.The constitutional amendment bill related to the judiciary includes a proposal to increase the age of superannuation of Supreme Court judges to 68 years from 65 years, and that of high court judges from 62 years to 65 years.
