Showing his willingness to talk to the country’s establishment, former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan on Tuesday asked the Pakistan Army to appoint its representative for the purpose, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reliable sources said that in an informal chat with journalists inside a courtroom set up at the Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, Imran said presently there was unannounced martial law in the country. Responding to a question that while on one hand, he levelled allegations at the army, while on the other he wanted to talk to the institution, and why did not he talk to the politicians?, the former prime minister said he and other PTI leaders did not indulge in the blame game. “What we have done is only criticism of the establishment,” he clarified.
PTI’s founder also said if there was any party worker involved in the May 9 riots, he or she should be punished. He alleged that the sole objective of the government was to pit the PTI against the establishment to dismember the party.
