India win toss, choose to field first against New Zealand
India have won the toss and chosen to field against New Zealand in the World Cup match, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.After winning the toss, Indian captain Rohit said that it was important to keep momentum going.
The New Zealand captain said: “We would’ve bowled first as well due to the dew. We have built a bit of momentum, and we have tried to apply our game plan.”New Zealand began their tournament by beating defending champions England by nine wickets, and then made easy work of the Netherlands , Bangladesh and Afghanistan .
“India will be a massive challenge in their home conditions. At the moment, they are looking pretty tough to beat,” New Zealand left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner had said after the win against Afghanistan. India have also steamrolled their opponents.
