Senior politician Munir Khan Orakzai, who was a JUI-F leader and National Assembly member from Kurram district, passed away after suffering cardiac arrest last
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, Orakzai, who had been tested positive for coronavirus over a month ago on April 25, was not feeling well for the last several days.
As a result of contracting the virus, the JUI-F leader had quarantined himself and later tested negative, following which he also attended the special National Assembly session held to discuss the situation arising out of the pandemic. However, he was rushed to hospital from the Parliament House due to some health problem but had recovered after a few hours.
Orakzai was elected to the National Assembly on the MMA ticket from NA-45, Kurram I. The JUI-F is the leading component in the alliance of religio-political parties. Previously, he had been elected as MNA as an independent in 2002 and 2008.
