30 government institutions fail to pay water bills: Officials
KARACHI - The Karachi Water Corporation devised an extensive strategy to recover a staggering amount of Rs 51 billion.
The initial step involves the appointment of new professionals to head the Revenue and Recovery Department, along with the meticulous collection of outstanding dues from provincial and federal organizations. To initiate the recovery process, final notifications will be issued, followed by the possible disconnection of services.
Water Corporation officials express concern that over 30 prominent government institutions persistently fail to settle their water bills, despite consuming the resource for several months. Consequently, the first phase aims to take strict action against federal institutions displaying resistance to pay their dues.
