The person involved in the severe incident of mutilating a camel’s leg in Sanghar confessed to the crime while in police custody on Sunday.
According to recent reports, the police revealed that two of the arrested suspects, Abid Sher and Shakoor Sher, admitted to their actions after the court granted physical remand of the six individuals detained in connection with the case. It was further disclosed by the police that among those arrested is the son of the landlord, Darya Khan Sher.
The camel involved in the Sanghar incident has been transported to Karachi, where it is currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at an animal sanctuary. Efforts are underway to provide the camel with an artificial leg. Shazia Murri, Central Spokesperson of the Pakistan People’s Party and Member of the National Assembly from Sanghar, stated that they are coordinating with several companies to procure an artificial leg for the camel.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken serious note of incidents involving animal mistreatment, emphasizing that cruelty towards voiceless creatures will not be tolerated under any circumstances.He stressed that animals are creations of God and deserve to be treated with care. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed concern for the injured camel in Sanghar and directed arrangements to be made promptly for the installation of an artificial leg.
