Chairman of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement Haqiqi, Afaq Ahmed, was sent to jail by an anti-terrorism court, which denied police remand in two violent cases related to vehicle burning in the jurisdictions of the Karachi East Zone’s Landhi and Awami Colony police stations.

According to the plaintiff, the accused were saying during the incident that they set the vehicle on the orders of their leader Afaq Ahmed as Afaq Ahmed had forbidden to enter the heavy traffic city. During the hearing, the judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court addressed the police prosecutor and inquired, “Tell me, why does the police need a remand? What investigation needs to be conducted with Afaq Ahmed?”
