ISLAMABAD: Following directives from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder, the party has suspended Sher Afzal Marwat’s basic membership due to ‘violation’ of discipline and policies.
A notification from PTI Secretary-General Omar Ayub stated that Marwat was suspended for repeatedly breaching party discipline and making damaging statements against the leadership. The notification also mentioned that Marwat ignored instructions from the PTI founder, violated party discipline, and continued to criticize the party leadership on social media and in public. His statements were considered false and damaging to the party, including baseless allegations against PTI.Previously, PTI had issued a show-cause notice to Marwat for his irresponsible statements.
