More than 70 foreign delegates attended the ceremony
TEHRAN - The inauguration ceremony of the Iranian’s ninth President Masoud Pezeshkian was held in the Iranian parliament with many foreign dignitaries in attendance on Tuesday afternoon.
The new Iranian president has 15 days to introduce his cabinet to the parliament for a vote of confidence after the swearing-in ceremony. In his address to the ceremony, Pezeshkian said that "We will seek constructive and effective engagement with the world based on the principles of dignity, wisdom and expediency."
"The world also needs to seize the unique opportunity to solve regional and global problems with the participation of a powerful, peace-seeking and dignified Iran."
