RAWALPINDI: Accountability Court Rawalpindi has issued non-bailable warrants for prominent figures Malik Riaz and Ali Ahmed Malik.
The hearing of the Takhte Padi reference, involving 17 accused individuals including prominent figures Malik Riaz and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, took place today at the Accountability Court Rawalpindi. The case, being heard by Judge Muhammad Akmal Khan, saw significant developments as the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Malik Riaz and Ali Ahmed Malik due to their absence from the proceedings.
The court directed that both Malik Riaz and Ali Ahmed Malik be arrested and presented in court during the next hearing. Meanwhile, Pervez Elahi’s lawyer appeared before the court and submitted a medical certificate in support of his client’s absence. Following the submission, the court granted Pervez Elahi a one-day exemption based on the medical certificate.
