ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly deferred bill seeking to increase the number of judges in the Supreme Court.
The bill to increase the number of judges in the Supreme Court to 23 was presented by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Member National Assembly Daniyal Chaudhry, on which opposition barrister Gauhar opposed the bill.
He said that in Pakistan the Supreme Court works for 155 days in a year, in India the Supreme Court works for 190 days, government should increase the working days of the Supreme Court to eliminate the pending cases.
