Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday visited F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange and Sarena Chowk Interchange projects to review ongoing construction and development work, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. During his visit, the interior minister lauded the performance shown by contractor for completing the projects in record 43 days.

Mohsin Naqvi also interacted with the workers of both projects and appreciated their performance for completing the project and also encourage them. Mohsin Naqvi said efforts are being made to provide world-class facilities to the citizens of Islamabad and completion of these projects will significantly improve traffic flow in the Federal Capital.

Islamabad: 954 Protestors Arrested During D-Chowk Clearing OperationInspector General Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi has said non-lethal weapons were used to clear D-Chowk and adjoining areas from protestors in the capital. A total of 954 protestors were arrested including 610 yesterday. Over 200 vehicles were impounded and weapons of different sorts including pistols and Klashinkovs were recovered from the protestors. The Inspector General said a search operation is still continuing. He said terrorism will not be allowed under the guise of protest and strict legal action will be initiated against those responsible for damages.
