LAHORE: More than 200 police officers and officials have been revealed to be facilitators of drug dealers in Punjab.
The report prepared by the surveillance branch of the Punjab Police has been sent to the higher authorities. According to the report, the names of 234 police officers and officials of 10 districts of the province including Lahore are included.
The report states that 30 police officers in Lahore are facilitators of drug dealers and 35 cases have been registered. The report states that 62 police employees of Faisalabad have been found involved in facilitating drug peddling and the officials involved in drug peddling are posted as sub-inspectors in different police stations.
According to the report, ASIs, constables, and drivers of various police stations are also involved in drug peddling, only 2 officials involved in facilitating drug peddlers are in jail.LAHORE: The name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sanam Javed was included in... Officials said that the details of the related drug gangs of the policemen are also included in the report, while the details of drugs like hashish, heroin, ice, and crystal powder are also made a part of the report.
