LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board last month announced a three-year central contract deal with its senior players that will run from July 1 2023 to June 30, 2026.
As many as 25 cricketers were awarded the central contract. The list of players has been divided into four categories with significant increases in monthly retainers. Revenue from ICC will be incorporated in overall monthly remuneration.
The PCB announced 202 percent increase for three players of category A, 144pc for six players of category B, 135pc for two players of category C and 127% for 14 players of Category D. Source said Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen – the Category A players – would receive Rs6 million per month from the cricket board while players of Category B will earn Rs4.1 million per month.
The players in Category C will receive Rs1.75 million per month and cricketers named in Category D will receive Rs1.13 million per month.
