ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Donald Trump on taking office as the 47th President of the United States.
President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari expressed his best wishes for the new U.S. president, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also sent a congratulatory message to Trump on X, congratulating him on assuming the office of U.S. President. The Prime Minister also expressed his commitment to strengthening the sustainable U.S.-Pakistan partnership and working together.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that both countries have worked together for peace and prosperity in the region and for their people, and they look forward to continuing this collaboration in the future.Trump, along with his wife Melania, arrived at Capitol Hill to attend the inauguration ceremony. President Joe Biden also attended the ceremony.
