ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has revealed that ongoing protests causing significant damage to Pakistan’s economy, with daily losses amounting to a staggering Rs.190 billion.
The Minister highlighted the severe economic impact of the unrest, emphasizing that the protests have disrupted key sectors, hindered business activities, and exacerbated the country’s already fragile economic situation. The Finance Minister stressed that these disruptions are not only affecting the national economy but also undermining investor confidence and slowing down essential economic reforms. He called for an immediate end to the violence and urged all stakeholders to prioritize peace and stability to safeguard the country’s financial well-being.
The Minister also outlined that the government’s focus remains on restoring law and order, as well as finding ways to mitigate the long-term economic repercussions of the ongoing unrest.
