In a historic move, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that 10,000 tractors will be provided to farmers at subsidized rates by February 28, along with 2,000 super seeders to be distributed by March.
The government also resolved to fast-track and expand its initiative to provide free solar energy to residents across Punjab. Additionally, the transition of government buildings to solar power is set to be completed by June, alongside the conclusion of a major renewable energy project. The meeting also mandated the creation of a waste-to-energy fund by March and reviewed the solar energy transition in key institutions such as the Punjab Assembly and the Institute of Cardiology.CM Maryam has set a deadline for March to complete the “Garments Cities” project in Punjab.
