LAHORE: Punjab Government has imposed ban on public gatherings, rallies, sit-ins, protests under Section 144.
The Punjab Home Department has issued a ban notification according to which a ban has been imposed on jalsa procession in Punjab for 3 days. The notification states that the ban will be applicable from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28.

A meeting related to higher education sector reforms was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, in which the Chief Minister was briefed on the promotion of higher education, laptop and transport facility for female students. On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz approved the laptop scheme and said that after 7 years the students of Punjab will be given the latest laptops again.
