LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has banned police officers and personnel from using social media platforms including Tik Tok, Facebook and others for on-duty policemen.
In this regard, IG Punjab has issued a social media usage policy for officers and employees. Police authorities have informed that strict departmental action will be taken against officials who upload videos in uniform. Personal, political or religious views of police personnel cannot be shared on social media. Official channel related to police activities will be operated by DPO unit head only.The private individuals will not be allowed to use police vehicles or offices for social media activity.
