The Punjab Disaster Management Authority has issued a weather advisory cautioning about expected rainfall in Lahore and nationwide later this month. Additionally, there’s an anticipated rise in heat intensity, raising concerns about a potential heat wave in southern regions. As per a PDMA spokesperson, light rain is possible in several areas of the country, with northern Punjab forecasted to receive moderate rainfall. The PDMA has advised farmers in the Pothohar regions of Punjab to safeguard their wheat crops ahead of the anticipated rain.
Besides the potential for rainfall, the PDMA emphasized the danger of landslides in mountainous regions, stressing the importance of caution and readiness among residents and authorities.
