A total of 221 Pakistanis stranded in Indonesia returned home via a special flight of the Pakistan International Airlines on Saturday.
The Pakistanis were stranded because of halt to airline operation in wake of coronavirus pandemic. According to a spokesperson of PIA, a special flight, PK-8889, brought the stranded countrymen from Jakarta airport to Jinnah International Airport. He maintained that all the passengers have been shifted to quarantine for screening and testing them for the COVID-19. They will be allowed to leave for their homes if their test results return negative, the spokesperson added.
Earlier, the PIA has brought back 377 passengers from Toronto, 140 from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, 136 from Iraq, 125 from Azerbaijan, 430 from Japan, Thailand and Malaysia. A total of 200
