The Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has issued a warning to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and other airlines over flight delays. The warning letter stated that if the airlines failed to improve their performance, their slots will be reduced. PIA has also been warned of penalties for flight delays. Sources said that PIA's flight operation to Saudi Arabia is being badly affected due to damaged aircraft.
Further deepening the woes of the Pakistan International Airlines , the Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation has issued a warning to the national carrier and other airlines over flight delays.
The letter stated that PIA should ensure the timely arrival and departure of its flights, a warning has also been issued to penalize the national airline for delay in flights. In a statement released on X ,"[During the meeting,] clear timelines regarding the process were agreed with a view to meet the target set by the prime minister and the cabinet." This development signifies a renewed commitment to move swiftly toward the privatization of PIA, which has been a topic of discussion for several years.
