PM selected youth to supply of food items to poor families: Firodus
ISLAMABAD – Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said Prime Minister Imran Khan has trust in youth and selected to use their potential in ensuring supply of food items to poor families.
Addressing media following a PTI core committee meeting, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan told the PTI core committee that the biggest challenge created by Covid-19 for those who were affected by it economically was the shortage of food supplies. “The government will ensure ration and food supplies to poor families across the country in the wake of COVID-19,” she maintained. She also said that Imran Khan clarified at the meeting that relief packages will be provided to all the provinces indiscriminately.
SAPM Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had “sensitised” the leadership of the situation regarding Covid-19 in Pakistan, adding that he said that during difficult times leadership needs to stand with the people. She mentioned the prime minister advised Minister for National Food Security to ensure availability of food items, including flour so that there should be no shortage of such items.
