PM Imran Khan expresses anger at non-redressal of citizens’ complaints
He ordered an inquiry against departments failing to redress the complaints. Moreover, it has been decided to reopen 106,000 complaints.
Sources said that contradiction exits in the statements of departments concerned. “Some departments had told lies with regard to the resolution of complaints,” they added.On the orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the complaints redressed from January 1 to April 30 would be reopened phase-wise. 17,661 complaints from Punjab, 3,256 from Sindh, 5,346 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 12,340 from Centre and 482 from Balcohistan would be reopened.
The PM Office has clarified that the complaints would be resolved on merit after reopening it. The Prime Minister’s performance Delivery Unit was reorganized in October 2018 to promote citizen centric and participatory governance. One of the most significant initiatives taken by PMDU has been the establishment of Pakistan Citizen Portal mobile application.
This portal is a complaint redressel platform which operates through certain standard operating procedures .
