ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan asserted that should the Election Commission of Pakistan base its results on Form 45, Omar Ayub Khan would emerge as the Prime Minister.
It’s noteworthy that Commissioner Rawalpindi, Liaqat Ali Chatha, tendered his resignation, taking responsibility for the alleged electoral malpractice during the 2024 elections. Barrister Gohar emphasized that the Commissioner, in acknowledging the defeat of winning candidates, should disclose the identities of these candidates. It’s pertinent to note that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder designated the party’s Secretary-General, Omar Ayub Khan, as their nominee for the Prime Ministerial position.
