Committee chairman apologises over member's remarks against KE's Ms Sadia Dada: MNA Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar demands apology from Afridi: Sherry Rehman and Attaullah Tarar condemn incidentPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Member of the National Assembly Iqbal Afridi objected to the attire of K-Electric's Director of Communication, Ms Sadia Dada, during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Power.
He urged the committee leadership to establish SOPs regarding women's attire for participation in meetings. Later, while speaking to the media, Afridi claimed that Ms Dada’s dressing was not presentable, questioning how the public would perceive them as trendsetters. However, he did not specify what was inappropriate about her attire when questioned further.
The incident sparked reactions from Senator Sherry Rehman and Attaullah Tarar, who also condemned the incident in the standing committee.
